Izzie performed in public for the first time at the age of 15, at a local Open Mic. After her first performance, she was offered several gigs, the first of which was a spot at the local Godiva Festival. She then spent the next few months performing in venues all over the West Midlands, and also released her first self-titled EP, which consisted of 3 original tracks.
Izzie soon began working with a local record label called ‘Domesticated Records’, where she released 2 singles. Then, in September 2016, Izzie released her second EP called ‘It’s Life’, which she recorded with Domesticated Records, but released as an independent artist. Tracks from the EP have been played on local radio stations such as: BBC Coventry and Warwickshire, and Radio Plus.
Izzie then released her debut Album on the 27th May 2017 as an independent artist. The album consists of songs about her experiences of growing up and her fears for the future. The album has been featured on radio stations including: BBC Coventry and Warwickshire, Touch FM, and Radio Plus.
Izzie’s most recent release ‘Lost At Sea’, released on the 24th April 2019, takes us on a journey of self discovery, inspired by Izzie's decision to leave her home in Coventry and relocate to a boat in Brighton. In-keeping with her raw, natural sound, ‘Lost At Sea’ was recorded with a live band at a church in Hove, East Sussex.
As well releasing several records, Izzie also regularly performs live, both solo and with her band. Some of her past shows include support slots for the likes of Fairport Convention, Olly Murs and Courtney Marie Andrews, and performances at venues including the Genting Arena and the Belgrade Theatre. Her achievements also include BBC Introducing Coventry and Warwickshire Artist of the Month for September 2017 and the Touch FM Pride of Warwick Award 'Young Achiever of the Year', this bright young artist is truly one to look out for.
Despite being at the beginning of her career, Izzie has mastered her sound to that of someone far beyond her years. Music matched with her soulful spirit has lead this young artist to release four records in five years and to have an impressive string of live shows behind her. Her songs combine elements of Folk, Blues, Country and Rock, and always have a positive message to leave listeners feeling uplifted.
"She's achieved her success through her own hard work and ambition, but she's also on a mission to support and motivate others. She continues to spread a message of love, positivity and hope."
-Leamington Observer, 2017
"Unrestrained emotion, energy, and expression."
-A n R Factory, 2019
"Echoes of Laurel Canyon recordings, Joni Mitchell and the crafting of songs for the sake of the song are prevalent in her delivery. Her latest single has all that and more."
-Red Line Roots, 2019
"I think this is going to be one of the most significant releases from a Coventry & Warwickshire artist in 2019: if I were the sort of reviewer to nominate a "Single of the Year" then "Learn To Grow" is definitely a contender."
